Safeguarding
First and foremost, we provide a safe and caring environment where every individual learner can flourish. Bullying and any form of emotional or physical abuse are not tolerated. We also educate our learners about how to stay safe in the digital world.
As an Academy, we are committed to safeguarding and meeting the needs of all young people. No child should suffer harm, either at home or at school. Everyone who works in our Academy has a responsibility to make sure that all our young people are safe. Our Designated Safeguarding Lead and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads co-ordinate this work and are always available to discuss concerns.

Operation Encompass

Operation Encompass is a national police and education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children who experience Domestic Abuse.
Operation Encompass is in place in every police force in England
There is a legislative requirement for police forces to share information with educational settings through Operation Encompass.
Through Operation Encompass the police will share information with The Link Academy about ALL police attended domestic abuse incidents which involve any of our children who are related to either of the adults involved in the incident. This sharing of information will occur PRIOR to the start of the next school day. The notification will inform us about the context of the incident and will include the Voice of the Child.
