Sustaining Success at The Link Academy

Year 11 learners at The Link Academy celebrated their results today (Thursday 21st August 2025)

Emma Edwards-Morgan, Principal said:  “The Link Academy is celebrating its BEST EVER set of GCSE English results for the Class of 2025! With a staggering 1 in 5 (20%) of learners achieving a top Grade 7-9 in English! Together with significant improvements at Grade 4+ and 5+ in both English Language and English Literature. There have also been some improvements in Maths results compared to last year, most notably at Grade 7-9 and at Grade 4+ with almost 60% of learners now achieving a pass grade in GCSE Maths! Outside of the Core Subjects, there are year on year improvements in GCSE History and this year 74% of GCSE 3D Design learners met the pass grade, with many of our Design and Technology subjects showing improved outcomes! This set of results represents an overall improvement in attainment score at The Link Academy, continuing to demonstrate the consistent hard work and efforts of our learners and staff. As always, there has been some outstanding individual results for learners, with more learners achieving the top Grade 9 in many of their subjects including;

  • Harvey B: 6 x Grade 9 and 2 x Grade 8
  • Kismat I:– 6 x Grade 9 and 2 x Grade 8
  • Lincoln H: 3 x Grade 9, 3 x Grade 8, 1 x Grade 7 and 1 x Grade 6
  • Phebe A: 3 x Grade 9. 2 x Grade 8, 2 x Grade 7 and 1 x Grade 6

Jo Higgins, Chief Executive Officer said: “This year, 2025 outcomes are once again extremely positive with all four schools maintaining or improving on 2024 results. Most notably, more learners than ever achieved the higher grades, 7 to 9 which has been a major focus for our Trust. I am delighted that all our schools are sustaining success enabling our learners to have the best life chances possible. The Trust’s aspirant culture and positive climate for learning in all year groups is clearly leading to our learners’ success at the end of Year 11.

Today, it is wonderful to see the rewards for our learners’ hard work and determination to dream big and achieve. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff for their ongoing support and commitment to our learners and to their parents and carers for working with us to ensure that our young people can flourish. Congratulations and best wishes to our year 11 learners as they move onto the next phase of their education, and I wish them every success for their future.”
